The Road I Knew..Pt 2 Poem by kalemeera collins

The Road I Knew..Pt 2

just then it hit me straight on
Had to start over again, had to remaster
The new trail, all fixed up and so new
Now i`ve got to look down as i walked
Pay a lot more attention, leave my comfort
Wow i have taken this road for granted
Agile truth because like never before i miss it.

I don't want to wait `till your gone
To realize i do miss you and need you.
Don`t want to look up with ego as
I walk with you take your hand
Not even a single glance thinking i`ve seen it all.
Now i know am not about to get
So accustomed less i take you obvious.

Rather i intend to know u with utmost thoroughness
Yet appreciate each day like i never
Knew you the day or hour before
Want to be able to appreciate
And cram each stare i take on you
Yet preserve my perception of the very
First time my eyes fell upon your surface.

I really have learned and acknowledged
That getting used to saying 'This road
i sure know' is not what i wanna do
But find it rather appropriate to say
'This road, amazing with each trample
still precious to trade upon like the very
very first time i stepped out to trail on it'.
Comfortable is not what i want to be
If it means waking up one day to a all
Fixed up you, that had to leave
Because i took for granted.

i want to always perceive you each day
Like i did that time in the 'dance class' because
You always are amazing to me ELIZA..
