The Robber And Me Poem by Milica Franchi De Luri

The Robber And Me

Rating: 5.0

He met me in an empty street,
abandoned by everyone, due to the heat.
He said -hello honey
than demanded -give me all your money.
I said come and get it if you can,
you are a big strong man.
He laughed and reached to grab me,
when i moved swiftly,
he hit the ground, but was up again quickly
looking at me with a frown.
Come and hit me, if you can.
I am a woman fragile and petite,
but I'm agile and quick on my feet.
I do kick boxing and karate
I have a medal to proof,
I have gained a skill
be aware, i could kill.
He laughed again and to my horror
puled out a gun,
he said - now will have some fun.
but first honey, give me all your money.
I gave him my purse
while looking for a way to disperse.
Here is my money, i said
but don't call me honey,
and about that gun,
put it away, let me run.
he was confidant i could not escape, so
he put the the gun under his arm,
opened my purse looking for the money, but
there was non
that was my chance to run.
