The Silent Moon Poem by DEEP DARK SOUL POET

The Silent Moon

The silent moon is calling out to me tonight.
I hear its lonely song, its saddened whispered plight
Within the cold wind's echoed howls,
Echoing through my broken soul it growls.

My heart hasn't the energy or the legs
With whimpering sorrow it begs
To feel no more the pain it sees
When looking down from over trees.

With a home up in heaven it sees all
All my worries, and whenever I fall
Problems of so many in need.
With a heavy sigh it will bleed.

And this will be the end of the way of earth
As some will cease and others rebirth
But until then it craves the darkest days
When it sees the end of man's cruel ways...

The perpetual clock is ticking, mocking my emotion
Sinking in the sand washed up by the ocean
Tumbled into an hour glass of desire
I offered my devotion, to come light my fire.

Tapping my foot to the sound of the ticking
Before I know it I'm on the ground kicking
This hour has left me drowning in my mind
Drowning in the love that was left far behind
