The Wind Beneath My Wings Poem by Bernard Snyder

The Wind Beneath My Wings

Rating: 4.3

When my time here on earth expires
I won't have any regrets,
because by having met you
I was finally given the opportunity to know what
'floating on air' truly mean't.
In so many ways you gave so many reasons why
I felt I could touch the sky.
I am content knowing what it felt like
to have been loved.
Because of you
my willingness to give love became easy.
In the event we never cross paths again
I will take the part of your heart you gave me
to share with the angels above..
as a token that would explain
why, at one point in my previous life..
I was able to fly.

Yes true love can be just like that. It makes you feel like flying. Wings of love. Nice.

Love gives one wings to fly and soar higher and higher! Love has such wonderful magic to it! To have loved and lost is much better than never to have loved at all....! The solid experience of love you had is enough to keep you contented in this life and beyond! Enjoyed!

It is interesting how love and its incomprehensible magic attract great poet form different backgrounds. To me, that shows how versatile love is. This poem, from its beginning to the end, captures, yet another fantastic story about it. good job!
