The Wondrous Night Poem by Sandra Feldman

The Wondrous Night

Rating: 5.0

Love the wondrous summer night,
That so charmingly invites,
Dreams to come and be in sight,
All is right, in Summer's Night,
As the stars begin to shine,
Love can open doors divine,
To the Heavens that were mine,
As together, our lives rhymed.

'But what's life without one's Love? '
All the Stars, heaven above,
Could not answer, dimmed their light,
If not sharing, loving, caring,
Silence fills the wondrous night,
As the souls of one time lovers,
Separately, have taken flight.

The 1st stanza is a promise of wonders of the summer night, the 2nd stanza is the dreaded YES, BUT - switch as lovers go missing. BUT it's reassuring that the night dims in sympathy with our human disappointment. Summer nights really are special - they stretch out to a glorious length or seem to. I'm go out on my balcony in a moment.
