The Years Past Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

The Years Past

Rating: 5.0

I gave love time money
I waited hours each time
you were late without reason
embracing you with genuine love
when you finally eventually arrive

you set friends up against me
your ego demanding centre stage
spot light achieved vanity requires
you flirted always unfaithful playgirl
yet you believed ‘I treat you badly! ’

'you do not think you do! '
chasing nice ass in blue jeans
drinking in bar with ego’s idol
(while I wait suffer ever alone)
enjoying socially knowing I will wait

the years pass leaving lies exposed
the years pass testing eternal patience
the years pass wearing upon weary heart
the years pass in gossip shame ridicule
the years pass leaving us eternally alone
