There is a star that brightly shines
It charts a course for me.
Where I’m bound I cannot tell
But it is my destiny

Is the star that calls to me
A true and guiding light?
Or is it the damning fire of hell
That will never lead me right?

But now I see the one I loved
And she sings sweet songs to me
“Come and take my hand again
And together we will be.”

She is the star that’s guided me
Through all my dark despair
She guided me when I was lost
And no one else was there.

I hold her dearly in my embrace
My tears no longer flow
To be with my darling once again
It is heaven—this I know.
