There Is A Yellow Green

THERE IS A YELLOW -GREEN

There is a yellow-green as beautiful as light itself
The morning leaves radiate it freely
Looking and looking
I wonder
How God could make a world so beautiful
And why this yellow- green means so much to me-

I have seen much Beauty in my life
I wonder why I am so moved now
By yellow- green leaves
Which one day
I will never see again.

They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
