Why do we do this to
Each other?
Make promises we can't
Keep.
Mayhaps it's human
Tradition,
Perhaps they are to
Deep
And we can't find
The way to keep
Them ahold.
Mayhaps it's my
Fault
To promise what's not
In my control.
I beg to a higher
Being,
Give me the strength
I need to keep it to you.
