Timely Rendezvous Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Timely Rendezvous

Wishing upon a violin as its being played like a fiddle,
as a violin strictly playing tunes that invigorate and
take us into many measures of impunity.

Releasing emotions and feelings, hiding within each of
us, loving to express them through music and writing
poetry.

Finding a gentle peace entering mind and intellect as
it runs circles within this mind, jumping and running
in the avenues of a timely rendezvous.

One that entertains this mere poet, always writing in-
to its melodies as it goes faster and faster into the
night.

Leaving the existence of music in the capable hands of
musicians in the Cold Front Band, strumming guitars,
beating drums, violin standing alone.

Yet its a part of the band and cannot be left out,
whistles blowing as a train travels down the tracks
of another time as yet unrealized in this life.

Blessing members of the band with steady beats of
coded rhythms playing at a rapid pace, not slowing
down, giving this poet a chance to keep writing.

Constantly challenging mind and intellect throughout
the night, reverberations sounding off in exploding
colors and light.

Bringing beautiful reflections into the middle of
the night, reaching into and out of invisible stretches
of vibrant measures of music as we all keep counting on
the beats tonight.
