I wish that I could
Write the sweetest words for you.
Words that would cause you to tremble
As you a gaze upon the page,
And know full well the feeling in my heart.

There are somber moments in my life.
Times that only you can bring joy to my heart,
And quiet any doubts of a tender, loving God.

I would that I could put words at your feet,
And adoringly swirl as a ghost about your body,
Enslaving each syllable to your wildest desire.
And then upon that pleasure know full measure
That you feel the depth and breath of my love.

There is of late a happy whirling wind in my soul.
That these dogged words can only express thus:
You are truth and truth is you,
That is all I ever need to know.
