To The Kind Prof Poem by LoveLifeLen Altamar

To The Kind Prof

I didn't know you the first time
when I saw you next to mine
you were taking pictures
of students and engrossed teachers
then, I saw your smile as lovely as you are

I hummed to myself as I continued to observe
students around me some were noisy and some were reserved
chairs scraping the newly polished floor
as they moved around, going in and out the PAT door
and there you were, so sweetly happy with allure

The mass was about to start
and you kept quiet anticipating the part
though the camera was still in your hand
looking at everyone when you were about to stand
and again you smiled, so full of life and love

I was there at the back patiently waiting
with my black jacket and bag comfortably sitting
the priest was starting to rise while the choir was singing
as I was trying to control myself from sleeping
and then, you looked back and smiled to me so beautifully at last...
