To The Quip Poem by Gillena Cox

To The Quip

What a wondrous day of bright sunshine
To lift hearts of every living being beneath
Yet such is not the case of this one hine
Who slips away in cloud covered sheath
To yesterdays and many a possible future
Where yet uncharted resemblances nary
A chance occur will in a state of nature
Ever belong for such is where lies carry
The human despondent of all is so well
Crestfallen beings the smile of which fits
To a tee the lips of mockery shunned to tell
No not so but some other state of glitz
Will rare a tale of joyous malady to speak
Of which a sword will cut will cut to the quip
