Today
I looked at trouble all far and near all the way
Now I know there is no time to delay
Oh, I believe in today
Wondering


Do I have all the plans in my hands
Or is there a shadow hangin' over me
Yes today came about so suddenly
Why my true love had disappeared I don't know


Today
I gathered all my thoughts
Was my lost love meant to be
Oh, I believe in today wondering
Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say


I said to myself was someone trying to blackball me
Now I know my greed
I believe in today
I know my love had no choice, but to hide
Big Brother had been watching over me
A shadow of darkness fell over me

Did I ever say something wrong that made darkness
Is there still a Shadow hanging over me?
I begin to pray, Dear Lord - give me light
Give me back my Love, give me back my destiny

Caste no evil on me, Dear Lord
All far and near toward me, spare thee instantly
As I prayed the love of life advanced back toward me
I opened up my Eyes Toward Heaven I could see
The Shadows of Darkness gone - what a heavenly delight!
