DEEP DARK SOUL POET

(09/1965 / Australia)

Tragedy of the tea tree

Tragedy of the tea tree
Your bones laid bare
As your broken there
How did it come to be?

Time has eroded you
Wind has swept you
The salts and sand
All bleached you bland

Sad as it is to me
What you were I see
A home for life
Before your strife

Now just rotting wood
Help you I would
But its far too late
Seems I cant change fate

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
