Tribute To Pastor Shawn Naidoo....Singing Your Favourite Song Poem by Anashree Nash

Tribute To Pastor Shawn Naidoo....Singing Your Favourite Song

From the dept of our hearts
We prayed for you
A little more each day
But the voice of the Lord was
Sweeter to your ear
And his call to you more powerful
Than anything we had to say.

These past few weeks have
Been a struggle for you
But it only set you free
From the trials we face here
And a few weeks cannot measure
To the years you gracefully took life
By its reigns and fulfilled your life.

Your smile will forever
Live on in our hearts
Your generosity and kindness
Will be an example we will follow
Your humble nature forever admired
And your devotion and dedication
To the Lord will be our new grace.

You have imprinted on our souls
During the time you walked this earth
To some you have been
A son, the perfect son
To others an awesome brother
You were that friend
We could always count on.

You had your way
With the younger generation
Your words of wisdom will be
Carried by them their whole life
The footprints you left behind
Is so deep and we will try
To walk beside it.

The heavens have truly
Gained a precious gem
And the heavens will dazzle
A whole lot more with your presence
And you too must be ecstatic to be
At the thrown of the lord
Singing your favourite song.

Thank you for being a part
Of our journey and thank you for
Being our inspiration and showing us
That a picture perfect marriage
And a family can be a masterpiece
So beautifully painted
On the canvas of life.

Our paths will cross again
When it is our time
To walk through heavens gates
Welcome us with your warm smile
And we too will be at the
Throne of the Lord
Singing your favourite song.

As the heavens celebrate your arrival
And the angels sing with glee
We are saddened as its
Hard for us to say goodbye
So keep singing your favourite song
In the heavens so we may hear you
And our hearts no longer cry.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem on the 12th of August 2020 as a tribute to Pastor Shawn Naidoo who passed away on the 11th of August 2020.A great soul who dedicated his time to help pave a better path for the youth and all those who needed his help.Credit must be given where credit is due.

Even though he was a young pastor, he did gods work quite profoundly during his time on earth. I did not have the pleasure of knowing him personally but from the few videos I watched of his where he motivates the youth, gave me insight to see his love for God and his love to help the younger generation be moulded and guided into prosperous beings.

A kind hearted soul of a placid nature. God bless his soul
