Words stringed together in rhyme,
Simple melodies I have played
Or strings pulled
From my own mind...
I see them again behind
The white-lined blackness
Of tomorrow's time...
Delineated by days and hours
And each remaining
Between two ends of a page,
Then, there is a beginning again,
A fresher place to play,
An old tune refined,
As if it was never heard before
And breaking through the barrier,
I resolved to try again once more
To regain the reason
For believing in today...
A purpose that seemed secured
Only yesterday but kept alive
Hoping to be reborn tomorrow
And find happiness at last...

The wisdom expressed here is wonderful. Another one of your really great poems, Romeo
Beautiful, I love the way nearly all of your poems are about being beaten down but never giving up hope and always continuing to have another try. That is exactly the human race's nature though, isn't it? You are an inspiration to those who have temporarily given up hope :)
A very optomistic picture of what we do, isn't it? Refreshing and hopeful, very nice, Romeo. Warm Wishes, Marilyn

Almost always it takes more then one try. When the wind has been knocked out of your sails. Remember what brought you here. What was it that you believed. What was it you thought you could achieve. And then march on redeemed. Another great poem, one my many favorite poets.
