Two Tiny Streams Poem by Ratnakar Mandlik

Two Tiny Streams

Rating: 4.5

For a while were together
Two tiny streams.
They adored one another,
Having different dreams.

One flowed and expanded,
A beautiful river is made.
Other alas, was compounded,
And stagnated in a pond.

The charms of the river
Day by day were lovelier;
And they earned laurels
From here and there.

Enticed by these charms,
The pond then left its trance.

A lovely description of two tiny streams that flowed together, but one merging with the river and growing in beauty and loveliness and the other joining a pond that stagnated and was about to dry! This is like the siblings of a the same parents... one achieving success and the other getting stagnated in his progress! Sometimes looking at the achiever, the one lagging behind may also try to do better in life! Enjoyed the poem!
