Unchanging Love Poem by Oladimeji tobi sam

Unchanging Love

Century may dawn and decades may pass
war may reign even sun may persist
it's color shine bright and it's flag
always hoisted
not broken by hunger, not lonely by wealth
like a rock of jilbrata it stand in storm
like a spark of light it flaunt at night

it flow like Nile never run back
it speed like horse never tear down
ajar is it's room for endurance
and free is it line to be tolled
not a firefly that reign only at dawn
not the sun that call only the day shot
dizziness not it friend, betrayal never
it acquaintance

o ye human why make a vow?
o ye sapiens give account for your confession
it regards your call and honor your invitation
just for a period, only for a moment
it came at dusk and lost at dawn
wealth, poverty, greed, quarrel, and all is kind
all are its sworn enemy when wrongfully applied

unchanging love, daunting care
different with integrity stand out with greatness
not greedy not in haste, always understand, always endure
unchanging love, one coat one seamstress
it swims against tide and fought against wind
great is its reward
