Under The Same Sky Poem by Anjelie Llorico

Under The Same Sky

Rating: 5.0

Whenever helicopters pass above the sky,
A glimpse from the past features you and I.
When a four year old me drags you out the house
And our heads look up to see it fly above the clouds

Years go by and we're thousand miles apart
Nevertheless, your presence is still in my heart
How I feel joy upon hearing your voice!
Thank you for guiding me when I have trouble with boys.

I know it saddens you that you don't get to see me growing up
It makes my heart sink too but we have to be tough
Whenever I miss you and your beautiful brown eyes
I just remind myself we're not that far...
'Cause we are under the same sky
