Unsure Poem by Jana Rininger

Unsure

I've been trying on new faces
Hoping with one I'll find my place
Cause I'm not sure what I want anymore.
I've written down a list just in case
It seems like I've worked so hard
To throw it away like a card

He's coming up, fresh from my past
Saying baby please, this time we'll last.
But I'm not so sure
Stepping feet through the open door
away from the bed I made and lie in
Two new old souls yet to tie in

To all the players, play fair
And when you get locked in that intimate stare
Once a cheater, forever still
never cared, and never will.
