It’s getting hard to breathe.
I’m trying to get it right.
The only place I wanna be
Is here with you tonight.
Frozen in this moment,
My heart’s beating fast.
I’m melting in your arms;
I want this to last.
I close my eyes and smile.
This is looking pretty good.
This moment is playing out
Exactly how it should.
I look into your eyes;
I can see into your heart.
I’m searching for the words to say,
But I’m not sure where to start.
I’m moving into you.
I feel your heart’s steady beat.
I know this is real
As soon as our lips gently meet.
I could stay locked in this moment
For the rest of time.
You’re like finding my other half,
It’s like finding the perfect rhyme.
Now I know the truth,
And I’m gonna do all I can do.
Whatever it takes,
I’m gonna be there for you.
So as this poem comes to an end,
As I take your hand in mine,
I know you’ve been anticipating
This very last line:
I LOVE YOU.
