Valentines Poem by Anthony Philpot

Valentines

Roses are red
And the love is fed.
Love is abundant
And never repugnant.
Smiles are everywhere
And so much care.
Gifts of passion
Can show off some fashion.
But unlike a Christmas elf
The true gift is yourself.
Give your partner your love
Which is as beautiful as a dove.
For what is shared
Will make no glare.
Great memories are made
And should never fade.
On this special couples day
For which you lay on the bay.
Doesn't matter straight nor gay
I just hope the love stays.
