Vicious Wishes Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Vicious Wishes

Vicious wishes

What a human being!
Or what a animal's kings
Cobra snakes and mankind
Fall in same category and always remain unkind

They want to grab as much as possible
Even though it may cause trouble
The greed and lust is so powerfully built
That it shall cause them no guilt

The python here has made great hunt
Neither it can swallow nor bear the brunt
It can't swallow entire object
But simple sit over to show proud act

There are countless rich people
Who have enough to feed for those who struggle?
They will sit like python around treasure
But not help others or assure

People think of spending it slowly
As python thinks lazily
People from nearby places may rush with deadly weapons
The python shall lose life even
