Wake Children Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Wake Children

Rating: 5.0

Wake children don’t kip,
It is morning, have skip.
Brush your teeth eat food,
Pray to God in right mood.

Say good morning to dad, mum,
Start your work in a hum.
At the morning do your sum,
Write handwriting daily some.

Go to school in ten O’ clock,
Go everyday do not block.
Respect your teacher obey them,
Don’t tease to dumb and lame.

Perform school work till to four,
Return home, meet mum at door.
Help her if she needs your help,
Then you play with pals yourself.

Love your friends do not slug,
Co-operate them with a hug.
In evening wash hands and feet,
Read, write up to nine and eat.

Go to bed soon after eating,
Early sleep leads early getting.
Transfer mind to God on sleep,
You do lesson at dawn’s peep.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It is a song in favour of children. Poet advises the children not to sleep at the morning. He says, “It is morning, wake up and have exercises, brush teeth, eat food and pray to God in silence. Convey good morning to father and mother and then start your study. Do your mathematics at morning time. Have handwriting daily at the morning too. Go to school at time every day. Respect your teachers and obey them. You must not tease dumb and lame persons. Perform your school work till the school is over then come to home. Help your mother and then play sometimes. Love your friends and co-operate them. In evening, wash your legs and hands and then maintain study hour up to nine to night. Then go to bed and sleep. Before sleep you pray God and hand over your body to him. Early sleep helps to get up early in the morning. At morning time you can remember well.” This is the theme of the poem in thumbnail. Its all about best manners, from parents to kids. Kids with good manners shape their parent well. Draw picture of where they come from, and the home also. Thanks for this amazing poem.10!

A wonderful code of conduct for children! If we can make children practise these lessons in life, their future is assured and they will grow into loyal citizens of the nation bringing honour and glory to everyone!
