We Are Mothers Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We are-Mothers
Tuesday,8th June 2021

Children are my precious eyes
and I try
everything that is possible
with the hard struggle

even if with no shelter
we seek it from everywhere
stand fast and come over
that is how we recover!

we are mothers
especially sent here as messengers
to make humanity usher
in peace and in harmony

we bear no grudges
but don't budge also
from our stand
and make others understand

make no cruel jokes against us
we are full of confidence and trust
once we are in the game
we strive hard and claim the position

if we give birth to children
we see to it they live in heaven like situation
we never allow it to worsen
but improve upon the situation

if life proves us wrong
we shall not sing a song
for nothing and sit idle
if we have to wage struggle, we will

our male counterpart
often part with us
leaving us behind with no livelihood
but we stave off the situation and don't starve for the food

we are made of the hard metal
strong enough to face life's battle
and as an individual
always excel
