Welcome The Needle Poem by Rachel Henley

Welcome The Needle

Rating: 5.0

I welcome the needle,
as the flower welcomes the butterfly,
love was never eternal in a petal,
but love must be shown to all kind.

Love when you hate the disobediant child,
Love when the pain is unbearable
and do not fear the shame of your cry.

For time and time again,
love takes reserve,
to people who desperately deserve,
your patience and empathy.

I do not know what makes a parent,
but I do know what every one needs.
Time is never on our side,
but love to cry and hate not to love,
for our human qualities,
are our graces to embrace.

Welcome the pain and trials of life,
as you welcome the beauty of the earth.
