What Is Nature's Plan? Poem by Jyoti Patil

What Is Nature's Plan?

What's your plan, Nature?
Forests are in flames
Rivers in spate,
Deserts are scorching,
Winds spew only ashes,
Life is in doldrums,
Now, what curse have you brought?
Onto the whole humanity,
Everyone is scared,
Roads are empty,
Streets are barren,
Factories are closed,
Trains look tiresome,
Planes look pacified,
With folded wings and closed platforms,
Death is playing havoc,
Disease is dancing at every doorstep,
What goes wrong? Tell me what's your plan?
Man is avoiding man,
With palsied dreams and divided aims
Meetings have turned into partings,
Hugging and handshaking have changed into dreary distancing,
Celebrations have turned into empty desires,
Everything gets scattered and scanty,
Alas, no one to sprite around,
Innumerable die fighting the losing battle
With the deadly virus having such a graceful name.
Tell me, Nature, what's your plan?
