When He Asked Me Why I Tolerated The Gay Affair Of My Nephew And His New Found Lover Poem by RIC BASTASA

When He Asked Me Why I Tolerated The Gay Affair Of My Nephew And His New Found Lover

the song of love
conquers all, rising beyond the
fences of gender,
and our age old traditions.

we saw them swimming together
in that blue pool
above them the rainbow and below
them their libido.

what did we see there? oh we saw
their smiles, and sweet hugs,
we see how this world shall survive
amid the calamities of hate and love.

we leave them as they are,
and let them find the new labyrinths of
love.
let them grow and let us see what
fruits shall they bear.

let them feel the love
and let us watch how happiness
blooms in the garden of
new flowers and bees.
