When i think of you
i remember
The laughter that we shared
Your silliness, the mischievous look in your eye
Your almost constant talking out of turn, and the irresistable way you always used to smile
When i think of you
I remember...
my first year in a big and crowded new place
The flirty boy that looked at me, and who in his way, kept me from feeling invisible
I remember also, that life is not the same, it is continuous and changes with every new day.
What was today, may not be tomorrow
What was yesterday, is not today
people change, they grow, learn, and choose
Who they're going to be, how they'll act, what they'll say, what they'll do and in what way they'll approach each morning.
The attitude with which they'll get out of bed and face the world.
Whether to smile and be kind
Or walk by a friend as if they were a stranger- someone who doesn't matter at all.
When i think of you i remember... that life doesn't always go as you plan, that people aren't perfect, and that the only thing i can control is what i choose to do with mine.
