When Mother Went, She Left Her Shoes Behind Poem by Rani Turton

When Mother Went, She Left Her Shoes Behind

When mother went, she left her shoes behind.
Soft shoes, tied with a ribbon.

She, who once walked so fast,
Walked away into eternity.

The morning came to take her; and in her haste,
Mother left her shoes, tied with a ribbon.

A pen portrait of a fragile, beautiful woman. Not a word wasted. Love, Sandra
