When You Look At Me Poem by Neela Nath Das

When You Look At Me

Rating: 5.0

When you look
at me, I want to
tear my patience
in pieces.
You! Shrew!
Always you keep
bad blood.
When I complain
you chuckle and
recite from a poem
of a famous poet- - - - -
'I quarrel with you
but, don't I love you? '
It is true and
I never quit an inch
for you,
and dislike to leave
one inch of your heart
for anyone.
Listen,
tonight
I'm going to chant
the same words- - -
I fight and bite you
before and behind,
because- - - - - - - -
Don't I love you? ? ? ?

There is an inner conflict very much to be addressed and the lovers here have to go miles before they understand each other. Let the ice be broken first. Good rendering by the poet and fine and authentic confirmation of the stand taken the speaker make it a fine poem.
