You slugs, you sloths, you worse
Than insensible things,
Who will not do as is so
Urgently needed - how
Shall I dislodge you
From your barnacle-like attachments
And goad you toward
Our oh-so-badly needed objectives?
I who cannot roar, as I would
But must humbly beg attention,
Choking with frustration
With smarting tears of grief in my eyes,
Appeal to whatever pride you have
And the goodness of heart God gave you
Please, please, please release
This client from interminable wait;
Give him the document required
And let him say to his wife:
‘At last, it's finished! Now,
In our bed at night we can relax
And sleep to gain our strength against tomorrow.
And sleep to gain our strength against tomorrow.....................u have caught the frustration and plea so accurately..........as usual hope keeps us going on which the last line well depicts....... :)
Very realistic and with an eye of keen observation on the intricacies of life.......
Remind me never to cross you lest I be roasted poetry style haha. Good one.: D
