Whole Hearts

My tears are warm and salty
with love
lust
and desire
My tears race around my cheeks
untill finally they tire
I never thought this would happen
especially not to me
I thought it was only in movies
but this is the harsh reality
the truth that burns within
the truth that kills my soul
the truth that stings inside my tears
and never leaves any hearts whole

A beautiful and heartfelt write... I really enjoy reading your work. It's very connectable and truly spoken, while remaining well-worded and dreamy. Thank you for sharing your talent! (Report) Reply

cloud wrests rays to reflect on skin of earth
heart loses to resonate being bereft of red
falling tear ruffles over rune of longing
love seems to desiccate as when shadowed, passionately hurtful yet poignant write,10+, thanks for sharing (Report) Reply

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
