Will It Ever Happen? Poem by Emma Jane Rae

Will It Ever Happen?

i sit here with an open book,
thinking maybe i should take a look,
i imagine escaping to this picturesque vew,
with sands so golden,
and seas of blue,
then i look out of the window pane,
and think to myself,
will the sun be back again?
with skies so grey,
and trees bent double,
the weather man said 'theres gonna be trouble! '
oh how i wish i could be out in the heat,
wearing sandles on my feet,
instead of scarf, gloves, coat and hat,
i'm fed up, i've had enough of that,
i wana be out there in the caribean,
thinki of all the sights i could be seeing!
but i sit by the fire, on the long cold nights,
thinking of that picture what a wonderful sight,
what am i doing here? i haven't got time to waste!
i'm gona visit that beautiful place! ! !
