Words Needed Poem by Casey Gochnour

This won't rhyme, but allow my words to spew,
I might go on and on, but I urge you to continue.
Reading what I have to say, even if they don't stop,
Even if they contain words like beep boop beep bop.

Because you never know what could be hidden in each word,
Assuming very little would be just absurd.
Take advice from me, with my words let free,
You'll find more than you think, soon you'll see.

I just wanted to talk about the love of my life, this girl next to me,
How I have dreams of her and I forever coming to be…
She's the essence of beauty, the one I truly adore,
She's the one I love, the one I've been waiting for.

Her hair may get wild, but it's the best I've seen,
She's lean and mean, not so green, though, a queen…
I love her to death, I don't know what I'd do without her with me,
Probably go make her mine… yeah, what's a lock without a key?

She fills the part of me I was missing before, she opens my heart,
She's opened it from the very start, ever since in my life she became a part.
She makes me feel alive, she makes everything perfect,
So loving in every way, sometimes not knowing what to expect.

She makes things smooth, the way that we keep us alive,
The little love beasts inside us continuing to thrive…
She's the angel that I keep close, she makes me feel holy,
Although we sin together, and though she moves so slowly.

She's perfect in her own way, perfect in the way I love,
Perfect in the way she is, all she needed was a shove.
To fall right in my arms, to fall in love with me,
And now I'm the luckiest man alive, because we're meant to be.

I love her to death, and now she's read these words,
This might be over, and I know it doesn't rhyme.
Yes this is the end, but there's still something I want to say,
Something about how she makes me feel, I want to say it in some way.

She's more than just my girlfriend, more than a best friend…
She's my love, she's my fire, and I'm aiming until the end.
To keep her mine, to keep her happy, because, Hannah,
You're worth it.
