Worlds Apart Poem by David Thomas

Worlds Apart

i've lost my soul
to a man far worse than any devil
to a being far more sinister
than yosamity sam.
i've lost every incling of a clue
that was ever a clue
to an entity more enigmatic
than the Enigma.
i fall asleep everynight
with dreams of empty unfulfilled flight,
the ways this modern world evade me
are much of nothing compared
to the summer set sunset world
of her perfect little dominion.
i suffer through what one may call
the easiest of decisions,
but at the end of the day we both see this glass
she says it is varies half to half to full to none
and i argue to the contrare
that there is merely half of something
just plainly sitting there.
