I have writ some verse
And again writ and writ.

Because I have to manifest
The multiplicity of our
Human dimensions -
The solitary trash of
Power Glory and the rest.

You
Partisan in Power and Glory
Because they suit you
And
Because they give you
Advantage undue over me
Insult me as ‘ignorant'
And ‘stupid'

Insult
Insult you be more
Groveling.

You will not convert
Your powers executive
Too much are
For your blinding:
You
Will not see ever the
Light
Of your conversion
