Y.... Spirit? Poem by Aufie Zophy

Y.... Spirit?

Rating: 5.0

White matter
Small lesions

Watson's spiral
Small mutations

Proteomics
Small variations

On top of that
Methylations

And then
Glycosylations

What is the effect of temperature?
And that of magnetism?

And all these quarks
Waves and particles…

How about thoughts and health?
Power of thinking?

Mind and body!
Soul and heart!

Spiritual being?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The neuroscientist find micro lesions in brains of normal humans with their powerful MRIs. Hopes are high to unravel the secrets of the mind.

Genomics usurps millions of taxpayer's dollars looking for micro mutations of the healthy people. Hopes are high to unravel the secrets of DNA

And then there are the other sciences, each having high hopes to unravel the secrets of nature

I am quite sure that all high hopes may just end in the realisation
that the trillions of micro-variations of 'normal' will prove to be our richess and not our defects. We may come to the conclusion that all of us are very very unique human beings, with our own unique DNA, our own unique brain, our own unique mind. Something we knew already long before a single soul was talking about all the -'omics'

Physics and spirituality are getting closer and closer to each other.
Quantum mechanics...

This poem is a bit of a call to scientists. Let us not forget we are in the first place spiritual beings, created in such a way that each of us are unique in our talents and shortcomings.

Let us not forget that over and above this uniqueness, we have the common longing for happiness, that can only be fulfilled through selfless altruism, devotion and inward reflection.

As long as one person dies from unintended hunger in this world, dear scientists, we should really get our priorities right.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Do The temperature and magnetic waves affect our organic nature? How do these worldly variables affect the soul, which has no dimension? What do we call as a soul? Is it the feeling that we are aware of? When something make us happy, does our soul feel happy too? Do the souls really carry the emotions with them? If they have emotion, how do they feel it? For example Hungry ghost...As long as soul is not organic, the spiritual leaders and scientists can't produce distinct definition for soul and the poets here have all privileges to scare the people with their imaginations! ! Thank you for sharing the poem!

Dear Veeraiyah, I was reading this poem of some time ago again and thought your questions are very reevant. I remember reading the essay of RW Emerson, titled, the oversoul. A very interesting read indeed

You mentions all in pair/ questions before ask about the spirit at the end, a clear approach and clever as always Hans! Proteomics and genomic-two related but system controlled is beyond understand, gene and protein cant answer how soul get synthesized, after all it just physically related not soul, which is another level, more than molecular level. Methylation and glycosylation wont tract where spirit reside in our body..to create a lesion on nerves to others it seems like a soul is finding how soul working? ? that interesting...Will MRI show the color changes of soul then...LOL..Biophysic and quantum physics now be one to reveal mystery...Complexity in life however is harder to analyze..Body and soul and soul to life...it such complicated, not just a chemical reaction I like the questions left...it lead us straight to mind, who are we and why we are here..there must be a reason..and we can find if we back to the One_Unwritten SOul

When the scientist feels tired, he shifts his attention from the waves and particles to mind, body and soul, the various stages of a spiritual being.
