A Love That Blossomed (Shakespearian Sonnet) Poem by Leslie Alexis

A Love That Blossomed (Shakespearian Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

We were best friends before we felt the love
Which came as unexpected rain or shine
And took our air as done to skies above
In sudden storm of heavenly design.

We were relaxing under June’s full moon
Inhaling night’s aromas and lovely sound
When our hands met and hearts caused us to swoon
With great delight what we ne’er sought we found.

Great joy the moment brought in things unsaid
The times to then in flashback gave their say
Of written love - which writers never read
Until the final-most important day…

The oath we made we daily reminisce:
Our love was stamped with a delightful kiss.

Well, Shakespeare move over. A delicately sweet and flowing sonnet. Shoud be worth a high rating. I must and will read more of your work

We were best friends before we felt the love ............................................................... Our love was stamped with a delightful kiss. So your journey is not through mist. A romantic holiday you have passed within the sonnetic lines-frame. And at last your stamped identity declares more to write such sonnets. Bravo....write more... 10+ Apoet Bangla
