Sitting here, doing all the same old things I'm used to
Watching clouds move in, to dropp the rain
Then there's one small clear, and shining patch of blue
Reminding me of you, I smile again
You know that it surprised me, this sun amidst the rain
Above my head, and in my mind I see
Your look, your face smiles down on me, then quickly goes away
The rain returns, outside, but not in me
Inside the clouds have parted, and the sun has come to me
A simple softness, no, I can't explain
I've wanted what you had to give, but didn't know or see
Hello was all it took to stop my pain
I sit and write these words, that you have heard me say before
But you have brought them back to me somehow
The words I hear you say to me, will comfort me once more
'I won't leave you alone, not then, not now'
I know that little patch of blue, of you, that cleared my mind
That caused these thoughts, and answered questions why,
The voice I heard so close, allowed the sorrow to unwind
So that now, I sit alone, and I cry.......
