Oh! the perfect ethnic cleanser,
You've no ethics,
Remained as an agent of eternity,
And an excellent janitor of population,
You've no colour, cast or creed
Without any shape or smell you come,
But with a ritual,
That to take me with you
Without respect for my permission.
A sinister title because of all its connotations but the poem is so true to reality in its depth. It also makes a statement about the futility and the untruth of the reasoning behind ethnic cleansing. There is a famous poem called' Death the Leveller' by James Shirley.
Death, is never come if we not have life....then if we live and breathe one day there's a time where death take it all...It's not cruel because it's a natural...It's cruel because of losing someone...But it's not cruel because we have another life, where the life meet no more end..with Him..Nice write Vipin, keep writing- Unwritten Soul
Segregation and prejudice against the differences created so much of conflict including ethnic cleansing but I believe human unity will make those reason reason gone dry and irrelevant at certain stage.. Well done on the darkest concept of race and ethnic oppression, you wrote it well! ! ! !
A poem with apt descriptions about death and His arrival.
Yup! Dear fellow poet, your words straight way went to my heart flashing the truth that death is soothing experience just as said by Walt Whitman in his poems again and again. But at the same time death pulls always from our near and dear one gifting them widespread pall of gloom. It pulls iron curtain and pulls the rug and sprinkles cold water on the wishes of our beloved ones. hence death is double edged sword. however, your thoughts are appreciable. May you rock millions of hearts by your poetry!
Spot on, whose life will death take that will be worthy enough for her not to kill anymore?
Your final line would read more correctly 'Without respect for your permission'. An interesting, thought provoking piece. It is true - death is indiscriminate.
well written and it hits the nail on the head!
