When the sun breaks through the sombre clouds,
It's as if all the hells' own darkest shrouds,
Have suddenly been lifted from the eyes,
And one finally perceives, limitless skies
Alive with such an abundant light,
As if all the Lord's most powerful might
Has blazed its way, from his heavenly home,
To form a huge and spacious dome,
Across this world, our precious earth,
A wondrous sight, of such vast worth
That it inspires us in an amazing way,
His laws to know, his words to obey.

Poem bursts and showers droplets of beauty one by one, rather like the overtaking of night by day that you portray here, Ernestine. Uplifting and soothing reading. With warmth, Gina.

A vivid poem of love and faith in a turbulent world, Ernestine. The phrasing is some the best I've come across. Thank you so much for being on this site; we are all the more rich for it.
It is just as you say... Beautiful, Ernestine. Thank you! Esther

I like this. I always feel much happier when the clouds break and the sun's glorious rays shine unbroken once more. There are a couple of typing errors, though (should the second line read something like 'It's as if all the hells' own darkest shrouds'?) But it was a pleasure to read. Sincerely, David.
