The moment I arrived on earth
Not knowing what to do,
I introduced myself
With a big cry with shrill.
Little afterwards, being settled down
When I opened my eyes,
I could see an open blue sky
And my mother with a soft and feathery lap.
She clasped me, endeared me
And fed me the nectar I needed.
I could see an angel in front
Who took me in her warm lap.
Mother, my loving mother
She is my ‘Déjà vu ‘
I found an angel in her
My ‘ Veni vidi vici’! !
By stretching, crawling and walking step by step
I was ascending the stair cases of my life’s Pyramid.
Drinking her nectar and having her affectionate kiss
I was growing with a heavenly pleasure
Under her care and bliss
Reminiscing I found
My mother was at the center of my life’s circle
And my world’s radius was increasing
Gradually with time.
In my fading memory as of now,
Still those fairy days are resonating feebly in my heart
Giving me great pleasure like a Classical Symphony’s tune, ! !
I can see my mother’s lovely smiling face in front of me
With her fullest content and peace.
Mother, my loving mother
She is my ‘Déjà vu ‘
I found an angel in her
My ‘ Veni vidi vici’! !

Mother's love is, indeed, like a classical symphony - the music that reverberates in your mind for ever. I love the way you have infused music into mother's love. Strangely enough, i too associate my mother's love with mellifluous music. A beautiful poem with a fabulous picture of Mother Mary! Thank you for sharing Amitava!
my earthly angel gone leaving me her wand which I use to create this beautiful and one
Very nice description of a baby's first encounter with the world! ... The first four lines are lovely with a fine sense of humour! Thank you for the enjoyment you gave us!

Amitava, an absolutely gentle and touching poem, beautiful depiction of a mother nourishing and loving her newborn child. Your words fill one with peace while reading this poem, an exquisite picture of how a mother's love raises a child with her heart. It made me think of my own mother and how she must have taken care of me just like this. Awesome poem, Amitava! Thank you for sharing it's beauty and simplicity. RoseAnn
