I live the apartment life
Where my quiet neighbours
Look through curtained windows
And know all that they can see
But this does not bother me.

I live the apartment life
Going out and about
Where I paint the town red
Boredom when alone indoors at night
Entertainment important to my life.

I live the apartment life
Where I have the perfect interior design:
Peach lounge walls, white bedroom walls
And a gorgeous beige fluffy carpet
My apartment floor soft under the feet.

I live the apartment life
Where my bookshelf contains various items
And my collection of books are showcased
Being a self confessed book lover
Having read famous novels for years.

I live the apartment life
Going to the office every Monday
Having a lie-in every Sunday
For that day is my fun day
And my routine rest day.

I live the apartment life
Eating out and eating in
Cooking for myself with Hello Fresh
But also going out for dinner
Enjoying all the culinary delights.

I live the apartment life
My neighbours also in their apartments
Guests to mine coming and going
Residents coming and going
Month after month, year after year.

I live the apartment life
Airing out the rooms every day
Always washing up and washing the laundry
Always keeping my home pristine
My apartment aesthetically pleasing.

I live the apartment life
Going daily on my computer
Working online as an online legend
And keeping up appearances
Knowing myself a public figure.

I live the apartment life
Inviting fun people over
And serving mostly soft drinks
And just entertaining friends
No one getting drunk however.

I live the apartment life
And will never live in a house:
Because my apartment is home
And I know I am not friendless or alone
For apartment life is my true home.
