Rani Turton
Artisan of Words
I am an artisan of words
Which I sculpt, chisel and fashion the way I can
I am a creator of worlds;
I pour my emotion into the poems I write.
I breathe life into them, blow them skywards
And finish them only when they sound right.
These remnants of thought without reason
Will remain on pages season after season
Long after I'm gone; when my task is done
The love, the longing, the pain
Will be evoked then by somebody else
Who in turn will remember and write again
To create another slow soft song
That people can read and draw into their hearts
Then pillowed by words, cushioned by dreams
My poems will ride high the moonbeams.

That is very true...and you've said every word with much confidence...on behalf of every poet...thanks a lot
Simple, but true. The not-so-vicious circle of inspiration. And not just poetic inspiration, either.
This piece just blew me away Rani....wonderful flow and meaning, you always write in such a way that draws the reader in....leaving them wanting more....Excellent Job 10+
Keep expressing my friend,

Artisitc words placed where it belonged with good imagination to offer an intellectual quality product of a poem for others to read and enjoy.
Dear Poet, there a beautiful quote which says -
'It is just the little difference between the good and the best
That makes the difference between the artist and the artisan.
It is just the little touches after the average man would quit
That makes the master's fame.”
This poem is an artisan's work
No doubt about it.
Very well composed...
By our words we live; by our words we survive. Excellent write, Rani.
Warmest regards,
Sandra
I appreciate the fine dressing of this crafty artisan
I often compare the act of creating poetry as sculpting with words as my clay. So your poem elegantly captures thoughts and emotions I've felt.
