Atmospheric Silence Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Atmospheric Silence

This poetical mind always being drawn to the mountains,
climbing every one of them, feeling the exertion it
takes climbing, yet being exhilarated.

Somehow adrenaline rising just by thinking of going up
each mountain, looking about, feeling its height and
encompassing this poet, caressing this soul lovingly.

Finding a boulder to sit upon, enjoying the purity of
an atmospheric silence, writing of its peace as this
poet succumbs to it entirely.

Wishing to be young once again, able to climb these
majestic mountains here in Phoenix and surrounding
areas.

Mountains in a 360 degree boundary around Phoenix,
making it the Valley of the Sun, knowing in this
heart that soon, all will be taken, leaving this
earth once more for a final time.
