Bikot, Doing What Needs To Be Done Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Bikot, Doing What Needs To Be Done

Meeting a nurse that has taken care of me before,
after having surgery, dying, being on life support,
not breathing on my own, and in a coma for 4 1/2 days.

Tall, well-mannered, always considerate and compassionate
caring enough to do what's right for his patients, doing
everything that needs to be done.

Gaining the trust of patients he's taking care of, a well-
earned thank you heading his way in this little poem of
humble gratitude.
