Capitalism Out Of Control Poem by Ted Sheridan

Capitalism Out Of Control

Rating: 5.0

Inside the rumors; were the secretive touches
and the corner of the eye glances.
The neighbors had seen them first; on a towel
out by the backyard plastic pool.
It didn’t take a high powered set of binoculars
to see the heat of his thoughts.
Little dimples and tiny cheeks
warmed by a tanning summer sun
as they played with his little rubber ducky.
His wife never suspected it had only cost him
10 cents per glass for the lemonade...

I wish I had written lines five and six. Hell, I always wish I had written everything you write. t x

This one is a heart-stopper. So understated. It's what you don't say that sickens and saddens. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
