Chests Of Memories Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Chests Of Memories

Stillness of this evening breaking over my heart,
for tides are rising only to bury me beneath them
once again.

Moon rays shattering the darkness fully as we walk
along to rhythms of our hearts being accompanied by
sea gulls flying above looking for prey.

Altogether, bringing peace into the souls we have
shared together, love having grown like ivy all a-
round we two.

Sustaining the beauty we have found as one, cherish-
ing these treasures in chests of our memories forever,
as life lies on our last horizon.
